The release of the new Dinosaur Atlas from National Geographic Kids included print and digital banner ads that highlighted the amazing dinosaur illustrations and facts.
Marketing has exploded in social media and cover reveals for new books have also found a home in this popular platform. These samples show a variety of cover reveals and continuous slider banners.
With the popularity of podcasts during the 2020 Pandemic, branding for these became ever more important. Here are a few examples of looks created for different brands that are moving to podcasts to reach a wider audience. The smaller samples are other concepts presented to the clients.
THE LIVING ANSWER - This is an upcoming uplifting podcast that will be hosted by Jeff Seda. The design was created by a multitude of layers of a man holding a sword, layers of fire, backgrounds of clouds, and fire elements, the dove (with light effects), and numerous layers for the title.
SILA - At Sila their mission is to accelerate the next generation of financial innovation and they intend to enhance that message with the Alpha Beta Launch podcast. The design utilizes Sila’s brand colors in a textured background and dimensional effects to bring out the words.
DOLLARS & SENSE - This is an ongoing podcast hosted by Donald J. Hawkins, founder of Tenth, an unapologetically Black, digitally native bank, building generational wealth for Black America. The client was looking for a unique and fresh design that would utilize the brand color palette as well as the host’s face with an engraved effect similar to those applied to U.S. currency.
In 2018, I released my first book titled Sun Night. A creative realism novel about my childhood years growing up with my brother in Panama. This project didn’t only involve writing the book but also creating the cover, laying out the book for print and e-book reading, as well as website design and advertising.
In 2023, the book was re-released with an extended ending and a beautifully designed cover depicting one of the most iconic and memorable moments that I ever lived with my brother.

I have been honored to create the title and poster design for a short film project called LEVEL 12 by Mojo Adam and writer J. Scott Worthington. LEVEL 12 is a personal, heart-wrenching story about the injustices of the youth prison system. The film explores the world of a high-level group home system - Level 12, where rehabilitation doesn’t always lead to freedom and becoming institutionalized leaves a stain on your soul. As an essential business during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, The Walt Disney Company’s-sponsored credit union required enhancements to their communication for those members visiting the branches in person. The branches experienced an increase in visits and for that reason, we created the Staying Connected with Partners to inform our audience of how they were managing the health and safety of employees and members. The campaign included in-branch digital posters, printed pamphlets, an email, and even a drive-thru pamphlet.
The print pamphlet cover showcases some elements of the brand such as the credit card and mobile app in addition to the reality brought by the global pandemic to use a face covering to protect the member and others while visiting the branch.
The interior pages provide members with details on how they can bank with the credit union from the comfort of their home using their phone, mobile app, or computer.
These are the four pages of the pamphlet detailing ways to bank with the credit union and additional information of things to do if a member needs to visit a branch.
