Weird But True Star Wars Book Release Marketing Campaign included a variety of print advertising and social media tactics. Starting with a book cover reveal, the advertising kept a space theme design on all print and Amazon A+ content. For this campaign, we created fun trivia engagement social media banners that were incredibly popular. Print advertisements included bus cards, magazine print advertisements, and theme park posters.

For the world premiere of the Freedom Fire imprint under Disney Publishing, I created a gift box that included the first three book releases: Moko Magic, Jax Freeman and the Phantom Shriek, and Black Girl Power. The box included a printed pamphlet with a letter, author biographies, marketing details, and a branded tote bag. This project also included a variety of print, bookshots, and social media advertising.

Showcasing an assorted selection of social media book cover reveals.
For the composition of the Spider-Man book, I laid it out as if it was being caught in mid-air by a spider web attached to the buildings surrounding the scene. The visual effect focused on the book cover keeping the background darker and out of focus to create a stronger sense of depth.
The Valentine’s Day social post was composed with Adobe Photoshop exclusively, it allowed the ability to lay rose petals over some of the books further emphasizing as if the books were sitting on a bed of roses.
Composed in Adobe Photoshop, the Beyond the Isle of the Lost book was embedded in a field of thorn-filled branches.
For Splintered Magic, the scene was composed more simply where the book is sitting on a desk with elements described in the book. To add the feeling of magic, the design was highlighted with bokeh light effects.
For A Drop of Venom, the book was laid out differently than other books to show more interest. The book is laid on a similar color background with added smoke effects which adds more depth to the scene.
For Thor Quest, the book is laid out on a textured stone that appears to have been cracked by the book’s weight, the moment also caught various lightning and light effects to enhance the weight of the book onto the rock. © 2023 MARVEL

The release of Dinosaur Atlas from National Geographic Kids included print and digital banner ads that highlighted the amazing dinosaur illustrations and facts.
Marketing has exploded in social media and cover reveals for new books have also found a home in this popular platform. These samples show a variety of cover reveals and continuous slider banners.
In 2018, I released my first book titled Sun Night. A creative realism novel about my childhood years growing up with my brother in Panama. This project didn’t only involve writing the book but also creating the cover, laying out the book for print and e-book reading, as well as website design and advertising.
In 2023, the book was re-released with an extended ending and a beautifully designed cover depicting one of the most iconic and memorable moments that I ever lived with my brother.

A comprehensive campaign was created to bring awareness to the great benefits of the Partners Platinum card using a sweepstakes where the grand prize was one of the sponsor’s destinations in Hawaii. The campaign included a dye-cut square pamphlet, a member letter/envelope, a postcard, and website/email banner ads. This campaign won a CUNA Diamond Award for best direct mail marketing campaign.
